Plans
Phantom's private server is free with a Phantom account. A plan is for playing on your own Animal Jam accounts. Both plans include everything, and only differ in how long they last and what they cost.

Monthly renews until you cancel. Lifetime is a one-off payment: it never renews and never expires.
Plans are bought and managed on the website, under Billing in your dashboard. Cancelling Monthly stops the next renewal, and you keep the time you've already paid for. To move from Monthly to Lifetime, cancel Monthly and buy Lifetime once the current period runs out.
When a plan ends
Nothing is deleted. Your Animal Jam accounts, scripts, plugins and settings stay on this computer. Phantom tells you the plan has ended and offers to renew it. Until you do, it won't open a game on your Animal Jam accounts, install a plugin from the store, or update itself. Plugins you already installed stay installed.
The store is still open to browse. Listings, READMEs and the permissions each plugin asks for are public, in the app and on the website, signed in or not. Only downloading a plugin needs a plan.
Lifetime doesn't end. Phantom still checks with its server that the licence is yours, but there's no end date.
Offline
Phantom checks your plan when you sign in, every 15 minutes while it's running, and when you come back to the window. If it can't reach the server, it keeps working on the plan it last saw for seven days.
After seven days without a check, Phantom asks you to connect so it can check again. It doesn't say your plan has ended. A computer that has never managed to check shows the same message.
Signing out
Sign out in the plan screen or the account menu ends the session on this computer. Your Animal Jam accounts, scripts and plugins are left alone and will be there when you sign back in.
